| Tiffany Oesch joined the Cowles Foundation staff in November 2007 and
took over as my assistant in running Econometric Theory in January 2008, although
she had already stepped in to learn about the operations somewhat earlier, for which I
will forever be grateful. Tiffany leaves Cowles at the end of June 2009. During her 18
months on the journal desk, Tiffany has helped me to
reorganize our protocols and system operations, in addition to ongoing desk duty. She has
been a joy to work with, her efficiency shines sunlight into every task she has
